The angel Israfil will blow a trumpet to announce that the world will be destroyed
The present world will be transformed into Akirah and Israfil will blow the trumpet once again
Everyone who has ever lived will be resurrected and judged by God
People will be given new bodies and the book of their life will be handed to them to read

so that God can judge everyone on how well they were able to make the right choices and so that he can punish those who commit bad acts and reward those who do good

- believe that many still have a conscious existence in the grave where they will enter barzakh (barrier) and wait for the day of judgement
- believe that as they line in the grave God sends 2 angels to question them about their faith and if they answer correctly they will see rewards but if they deny God they will see punishments that they will have to endure
