Conservation

• It is important to conserve water because it is very important for humans + enviroment ; also, rainfall is not always assured (seasons , location , global warming )
• Why?

  • We need a supply of drinking water (humans can only survive 3 days)
  • farmers need water to grow food
  • Water is important in industry
  • washing things
  • could change habitats -> death
• How?

  • Shower instead of bath
  • turn tap off when not in use
  • Repair dripping taps
  • Collect rainwater for plants / washing car
  • watering plants with waste water
• Hosepipe ban can be enforced if there is a water shortage. However, a household cannot be told to reduce indoor usage - bath, flushing toilet, etc..
