Magdiwang (Mariano Alvarez) - Keep the Katipunan
Early december 1896, katipuneros gathered in Imus, Cavite to solve the problem of revolutionary leadership in the province.
The Magdiwang contended that Katipunan should remain as their government since it has its constitution and by laws approved and followed by its members
The Magdalo claimed that a new government should be formed to replace the Katipunan since its ceased to exist as a secret society.
Because of the unresolved issues among the members of the Katipunan, another convention was held in Barrio Tejeros , San Francisco de Malabon, Cavite on March 22, 1897
During the convention, Jacinto Lumbreras acted as the presiding officer
During the convention, Teodoro Gonzales acted as Secretary
