  • At trial Virginia demanded contact with her father Lucius Verginius who was fighting
  • Lucius Icilius told crowd that Crassus was trying to rape Virginia
  • Lucius asked to see Virginia’s nurse took a butchers knife and killed his daughter infront of the crowd
  • The father then went back to his army and told them what happened
  • The men in the army occupied Aventine Hill
  • The news of the soldiers occupying Aventine Hill travelled to the city and people from Rome joined them on the hill
