Firstly, St Paul teaches that Jesus wasfullygod but did not use "beinggod" to his advantage. Instead, Jesus "emptiedhimself" and became a servant.
Secondly, St Paul teaches that Jesus was obedient even to the point of death and this shows humility.
Lasty, St Paul teaches that because of Jesus's humility Jesus was "exaltedbygod". So that "everykneeshallbowandeverytoungeconfessthatChrististhe lord."
Suffering is not always evil - Humanist.
Humanists disagree with this statement.
Suffering causes greatharm to humans, it can cause severe mental health issue and can cause the person to harm others.
Therefore, humanists believe we should show empathy and compassion to end the suffering instead of accepting it.
Suffering is not always evil- Catholics.
Catholics have an ambivalentattitude towards suffering being evil.
However, in this case Catholics believe that suffering is a blessing.
Beatitudes states "blessed are thosewhomourntheyshallbecomforted".
In suffering Jesus teaches we are closerto God and those who suffer will be rewarded as they have paid for their sins.
Suffering is notalwaysevil- Judgement.
This is a flawed argument as it may leadpeople to accept terrible things in life instead of fighting for justice.
Catholics should work to end suffering and not accept it.
Suffering is not always evil- Catholic.
Catholics furthermore believe suffering can help us develop virtues.
"Sufferingproducesendurance, enduranceproduceshope"-St Paul
For Example, Brianna Gheys mother showed empathy and forgiveness, we can become better people by showing compassion to others suffering.
St Augustine teaches that through this suffering can also bring about good.
The suffering of Jesus on the cross saved us from sin and death.
Suffering is not always evil- Most Compelling Argument
In my judgement the most compelling is that of Catholics.
Whilst suffering can cause immense distress in one's life Catholics argue that suffering can also bring about good.
Brianna Gheys mother is a key example of this.
She is a key figure of someone who has brought about greater good in the world through suffering.
