    British outnumbered 3-1 but won using their longbows.
    Expanded British control across the world winning wars.

    Sven attacks England following at Brice's day massacre (explain) resulting in Athelred going into exile and Sven being crowned king of England. This expanded the British empire and strengthened global control.

    Huge economic resource for Britain for trade.
    Robert Clive led the Battle of Plassey which led to the EIC taking over Bengal, one of the richest parts in India.

    Jamestown in Virginia.
    Established 1606 under rule of James I.
    Had to be supported by indigenous Americans.
    The area successfully grew cash crops and made huge profits, supporting the British Empire.
