• The victim:

  • A person who has suffered a loss due to the actions of another
• The accused:

  • A person who is charged and on trial for a crime but who has not yet been found guilty
• Suspect:

  • A person who is thought to have committed a crime and is being investigated
• Witness:

  • People who the prosecution or defence call to give evidence to support their case
• The offender:

  • A person who is found to have done something which is prohibited by law.
