  • INFORMATIVE SPEECH - This is about helping audience members acquire information that they do not already possess. This type of speech provides
    information history, theories, practical applications, and etc.
  • PERSUASIVE SPEECH - is written to persuade, or convince the listeners, of the validity of the speaker's argument. When we speak to persuade, we attempt to get listeners to embrace a point of view or to adopt a behavior that they would not have done otherwise.
  • ENTERTAINMENT SPEECH - speech intends to captivate an audience's attention and amuse them while delivering a message. The purpose is not only to tell jokes or make audience laugh.
  • IMPROMPTU SPEECH - is a speech that a person delivers without predetermination or preparation. The speaker is most commonly provided with their topic in the form of a quotation.
  • EXTEMPORANEOUS SPEECH - a planned and prepared but not written out entirely. Unlike memorized or manuscript speeches which are delivered word-for-word, an extemporaneous speech is delivered with the help of short notes and a clear outline.
  • MANUSCRIPT SPEECH - It is when an already prepared script is read verbatim. The speaker makes the entire speech by referring to the printed document.
  • MEMORIZED SPEECH - Memorized, like it sounds, involves committing your entire speech to memory.
  • SPEECH STYLE - refers to the distinctive way of communicating. It consists of a particular pattern of linguistic, vocal, and nonverbal behaviors. Refers primarily to the manner one communicates than the meaning of communication
  • Intimate - It is a style among intimate members of a family or friends that do not need a complete language with a elear articulation.
  • Casual - It is the most common speech style used among friends and coworkers, Jargon, slang, or the vernacular language are used.
  • Consultative - This style is the standard one, It is best used for business and professional relationship.
  • Formal - This type uses formal words and expressions and is mostly seen in speaking rather than writing.
  • Frozen - is often used in respectful situations or formal ceremonies like Shakespearean plays, weddings, funerals, and more.
