Protein Respiration

• 1. Protein is hydrolysed into its amino acids, which have their amino groups removed in the liver known as deamination
• 2. Remaining portions of the amino acid enter the respiratory pathway at the pyruvate, 

  acetyl CoA or as one of the intermediates in the Krebs cycle
