electricity miss bennet

Cards (8)

  • An electric current is the flow of electrons around a circuit.
  • Electricity is the presence or flow of charged particles
  • Static electricity is the build up of electrons on an insulator
  • Some materials do not conduct electricity – they are insulators
  •  Most non-metal materials such as plastic, wood and rubber are insulators.
  •  If there is a complete circuit a battery can push electrons all around the circuit. This is an electric current.
  • potential difference = how much energy has been transferred to a compound
  • ammeter= measures how fast a current moves.
