• Main minerals for growth :

  Nitrates : contain nitrogen for making amino acids and protein. Needed for cell growth . Older leaves will turn yellow

  Phosphates : make dna and cell membrane . Needed for respiration and cell growth. Older leaves will turn purple

  Potassium : help enzymes. Needed for photosynthesis and respiration. Discolored leaves

  Magnesium : needed in smaller amounts . Required for making chlorophyll and photosynthesis. Without magnesium leaves will turn yellow
