  • Why is Adam important to Muslims?

    God gave him knowledge that he passed on to the rest of the human race, he was the first person to plant seeds, harvest crops and cook food, God revealed the food Muslims can eat, how to repent and how to bury the dead to Adam
  • Why is Ibrahim important to Muslims?
    - He fulfilled all the tests and commands given to him by God.
    - he showed great faith in God.
    - he is a good role model for Muslims
    - Muhammad was one of his descendants through his son, Ishmael
    - he proclaimed belief in the only one God at a time when people worshipped many different gods and idols
    -Almost gave up his son

  • Id-ul-Adha
    a Muslim festival that celebrates the prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son for God

    the stone cubical structure in the courtyard of the Great Mosque of Mecca, believed to have been built by Abraham and regarded by Muslims as the sacred center of the earth
