Second All-Russian Congress of Soviets

• Lenin told the Congress of All-Russian Soviets that the Bolsheviks had seized power in their name.
• Mensheviks and some SRs stormed out with Trotsky famously saying that they were heading to the "dustbin of history" and that they belonged there.
• The Bolsheviks and the SRs that stayed would "construct the towering edifice of socialist society" in Lenin's words.
• Lenin set up a new cabinet dominated by Bolsheviks, forming the Council of People's Commissars.
