Subdecks (1)

Cards (97)

  • Human reproduction - any form of sexual reproduction resulting in human fertilization, typically involving sexual intercourse between a man and a woman.
  • Human reproductive system - organ system by which humans reproduce and bear live offspring.
  • Reproduction - repetitive process/"again" -production of existing matter -repetitive production of humanity
  • 2 types of reproduction: ▪︎Sexual reproduction
    ▪︎Asexual reproduction
  • Sexual reproduction - reproduction that needs two opposite parents or sexes.
  • Gamete - matured sperm cell from male; egg cell from female.
  • Asexual reproduction •opposite of the sexual reproduction •reproduce without sex •no contact or intercourse
  • Offspring - the product of the humans, animals, plants asexually or sexually. •scientific term base from genetics
  • Male Reproductive System ●This includes a group of organs that make up the reproductive system and urinary system in men and people assigned male at birth (AMAB).
  • Parts of the Male Reproductive Organ
    -Penis
    -Testicles
    -Scrotum
    -Epididymis
    -Vas Deferens
    -Prostate Glands
    -Ejaculatory Duct
    -Urethra
    -Seminal Vesicles
    -Bulbourethral Glands
  • Penis - it delivers sperm
  • Root - Base of your penis. It attaches to the wall of your abdomen.
  • Glans (head) - most sensitive part of the penis
  • Shaft (Body) - extends from the tip to where it connects to your lower belly. It looks like a tube.
  • Scrotum - maintain and adjust depending the temperature
  • Epididymis - brings the sperm to maturity
  • Vas deferens - carries matured sperms into urethra
  • Bulbourethral Glands - produce mucus that lubricates the urethra during ejaculation -gland that adds fluids to semen during ejaculation.
  • Urethra - passageway through which urine passes out of the body, also serves as the pathway for semen.
  • Seminal vesicles -two glands behind the bladder that secretes many of the semens components.
  • Prostate gland -a walnut-sized gland that rests below your bladder, in front of your rectum.
    •separate the sperm and urine
  • Testicles -two gonads that produces sperm by meiotic division (under meiosis) and it is a place where sperm stored.
  • Ejaculatory ducts •Each testicle has a vas deferens that joins with seminal vesicle ducts to form ejaculatory ducts. •The ejaculatory ducts move through your prostate, where they collect fluid to add to semen.
  • Phases of Male Orgasms
    -Excitement
    -Plateau
    -Orgasm
    -Resolution
  • Excitement •Arousal •male attracted and easily amazed to figures. •This is the initial phase of sexual arousal.
  • Plateau •Action
•In this phase, sexual arousal continues to intensify.
  • Orgasm •Release (sperm, emotions, and seminal fluids) •This is the climax of sexual pleasure.
  • Resolution •cool down/rest •After orgasm, the body gradually returns to its pre-arousal state.
  • Organizational level of organisms:
    Atom
    Molecules
    Cell
    Tissue
    Organs
    Organ System
    Organism
    Population
  • Atom - smallest particle
  • Molecules - two or more atoms
  • Tissue - combination or group of cell
  • Population - group of organism
  • Organ system - group of organs that work together to perform one or more functions.
  • Organism - all be seen by our naked eye
  • Organs - group of tissue
  • Cell - basic functional unit of an organism/life
  • Egg Cell or Ovum - the biggest cell
  • Mitosis - a process of cell division that results in two genetically identical daughter cells developing from a single parent cell.
  • Meiosis - a process of cell division that reduces the number of chromosomes in parent cells by half and produces four gamete cells.
