aerobic respiration

• oxygen and glucose required for aerobic respiration to take place
• produces waste carbon dioxide and water as well as providing energy
• glucose + oxygen = 32 ATP = carbon dioxide + water
• sugar called glucose, from food, is broken down into water and carbon dioxide, and energy that was holding glucose molecule together is released
