As the saying goes, "No man is an island". No man is an island - means that people are interconnected and cannot thrive or survive in isolation

  "Man is by nature a social anima; an individual who is unsocial naturally and accidentally is either beneath our notice or more than human… anyone who either cannot lead a common life or is self-sufficient as not to need to, and therefor does not partake of society, is either a beast or a god"
• Simple explanation: Aristotle believed that humans are naturally social beings. Those who cannot or choose not to engage in society are either ignored or considered exceptional. If someone can't live with others or doesn't need to, they're seen as either less than human or superior
• ETYMOLOGY o SERVIR which means "to do duty toward, offer, provide with…" o SERVIRE which means figuratively "Be devoted"
• EAC DEFINITION o Strong sense of duty and responsibility of helping others for the school, community, country, and Mother Nature.
• THEREFORE o A condition in which an individual surrenders his personal liberty and or his or her course of action or way of life to the will of another person

• Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. emphasized that we often measure success by material wealth, like our salaries or cars, instead of how we treat others. True success, according to him, lies in our service to humanity and our relationships with others, rather than material possessions
• Additionally, true service is only meaningful when it's freely given and when the person being served has the right to receive that service.
