Siddhartha’s Birth

• Queen maya was travelling to visit her parents house to give birth
• On her way to her parents house queen maya had to stop in lumbini park to give birth
• Queen maya gave birth to siddhartha through her right side
• Siddhartha was born fully formed
• Siddhartha was born with the ability to walk and talk
• Siddhartha took seven steps in four directions which were up down here north south east west
• The directions of his steps symbolised that siddhartha teachings were going to be spread all around the world
• With every one of siddhartha steps a lotus flower sprung at his feet
• Siddhartha first words were this is my final birth
• Queen maya died seven days after siddhartha’s birth
