    -Residential properties in high demand - many luxury apartments over 2 mil and lots of high value commercial properties reasons for management-Beach is a major tourist attraction - blue flag for water quality-Provides protection and shelter from waves for Poole harbour (water sports and yacht storage)-Longshore drift of beach sediment could cause harbour entrance to become shallow - used by cross-channel ferries-Climate change - sea levels rise by 0.6m in 100yrs will cause a flooding and peninsula breach with will result in 18 million in damage in 20 year
