• Pathogens spread in ways like, water, air direct contact
• Airborne pathogen spreads from coughs and sneezes
• Drinking or bathing contaminated water can cause diseases
• Direct contact is when the pathogen enters through broken skin or mucous membranes
• Indirect contact is when an object has been touched by someone with the disease then it's passed on to another person
• Vaccination reduces the development and pass on of the infection
• Destroying vectors such as disease carrying organisms using insecticides, or destroying their habitats
• Keep people with the disease away from the general public to prevent the spread of infection
• Improve hygiene such as washing hands
