MODULE 1: LINES OF THE EARTH

• Lithosphere - the rigid outer layer of Earth made up of the crust and upper mantle
• Grid System - patterns formed as lines of latitude and longitude cross one another.
• Equator - is an imaginary line that runs around the middle of the Earth.
• The Equator divides the Earth into 2 different parts:

  • Northern Hemisphere
  • Southern Hemisphere
• Prime Meridian - divides the Earth in half, 0 degrees, and passes through Greenwich England.
• International Date Line - is an irregular line drawn on the map of Pacific Ocean.
• Guess the Latitude and Longitude.
