A condition that affects the heart and blood vessels. This may include coronary heart disease which is narrowed or blocked by plaque, a waxy substance.

Angina Pectoris - chest pain resulting from narrowed coronary arteries due to inadequacy of oxygen
Stroke - when blood vessels in the brain burst or are blocked
Diabetes
A disease in which the body produces little or no insulin or cannot properly use the insulin it produces.
Types of diabetes
Type 1 - body does not produce or make insulin because the immune system attacks and destroys the cells that produce insulin
Type 2 - body cannot properly use the insulin it produces, usually develops in adults
Renal failure
Also known as kidney failure, it is a condition where the kidney stops functioning properly, causing renal insufficiency. The kidneys remove waste products from blood, help regulate blood pressure, balance electrolytes, and produce red blood cells.
