  • PICA DISORDER

  • RUMINATION DISORDER
    • Repeated regurgitation of food.
    • Regurgitated food may be re-chewed, re-swallowed, or spit out.

    • not attributable to an associated gastrointestinal or other medical condition
  • ANOREXIA NERVOSA
    • Intense fear of gaining weight or of becoming fat, or persistent behavior that affects weight gain
    • significantly low weight
    • can be considered as ego syntonic
    • they feel proud of themselves, they think it's normal until hospitalized
  • BULIMIA NERVOSA
    • Recurrent episodes of binge eating.
    • lack of control over eating during the episode
    • has compensatory behaviors
    • at least once a week for 3 months
    • ego dystonic
  • BINGE-EATING DISORDER
    • Recurrent episodes of binge eating similar to bulimia minus the compensatory behavior.
    • eating until over full
    • eating large amounts even if not hungry
    • feeling bad after the binge
    • at least once a week for 3 months.
  • AVOIDANT/RESTRICTIVE FOOD INTAKE DISORDER
    • extreme restrictive eating based on aversions (strong dislike)
    • low appetite or disinterest in eating 
    • no significant weight loss diff. to anorexia nervosa 
    • dependent to oral nutritional supplements 
    • a form of premorbid anorexia nervosa
