  • Home Tab change the font and size of the text, paragraph, and line spacing, copy and paste, change the organizational structure of the document. Its grouped into four distinct areas: Clipboard, Font, Paragraph, and Styles.
  • Insert Tab contains various items that you may want to insert into a document. These items include such things as tables, word art, hyperlinks, symbols, charts, signature line, date & time, shapes, header, footer, text boxes, links, boxes, equations and so on.
  • Draw Tab offers three types of drawing textures: pen, pencil, and highlighter, each with a different look.
  • Design Tab allows you change the format of your entire document, even
    make it look like a legal document. Themes give you lots of great looks.
  • Layout Tab holds all the options that allow you to arrange your document pages just the way you want them. You can set margins, apply themes, control of page orientation and size, add sections and line breaks, display line numbers, and set paragraph
    indentation and lines.
  • Reference Tab allows you to now create a table of contents, footnotes, citations, cross-references, select MLA or APA or ISO formats and so on. You can also turn your Works Cited into a collection of records and use them in the future.
  • Mailing Tab You can insert fields like Name or Address.
    Select Recipients—Choose the list of people you'd like to send your document to. You can type a new list, use an existing one, or select Outlook contacts. Edit Recipient List – Make changes to your recipient list or pick specific people to receive the mailing.
  • Review Tab provides icons for document review-related commands, such as spelling check, translation, track changes, apply changes, comments and so on.
  • View Tab enables you to switch between Normal or Master Page, and Single Page or Two-Page Spread views. This tab also gives you control over showing boundaries, guides, rulers, and other layout tools, zooming the size of your view of the publication, and managing Publisher windows you have open.
  • Developer Tab gives access to form controls and other programming-type controls. This page will tell you how to access this tab and what the various controls on it are about

  • Insert - allows users to insert text and other objects such as pictures and graphic organizers in the document.
  • Delete - This allows users to erase text, objects, or even pages in the document.
  • Cut - allows users to remove a section of text or an object from one place in a document and use it later.
  • Copy - allows users to duplicate a section of text or an object from one place in a document and use it later.
  • Paste - allows users to insert the text or object they remove or duplicate to somewhere else in the document.
  • Page size and margins allows users to choose or even customize their preferred page sizes and margins for the document.
  • Search and Replace allows users to search for a particular word or phrase within the document. They can also replace a group of characters with another everywhere that it appears on within the document.
  • Word Wrap - This feature automatically moves to the next line without pressing Enter when the users have already filled one line of the document with text.
  • Print this allows users to send the document to a specific printer to produce a hard copy.
  • File management This feature provides file management capabilities that allows users to create, delete, move, store, and search for certain files.
  • Font specifications This allows users to change fonts within the document. They can choose from bold, italics, and underline for text style. They can also choose or customize the text size. Most word processors let users
  • Window This allows users to multitask when they are working on several files by allowing them to edit two or more documents at the same time in separate windows.
  • Spell checking This feature identifies words that do not appear in a standard dictionary used by the program.
  • Headers, Footers, and Page numbering This allows users to customize headers and footers that will appear on every page of the document. The program also keeps track of page numbers.
  • Layout This allows users to customize margins, columns, and indentation within the document.
