  • some examples of informal support is: shopping, collecting prescriptions, preparing meals, keeping someone company or doing laundry
  • support groups help individuals take back control over their life when they have an illness, long-term condition or disability. they also allow individuals to seek advice, share coping strategies and find encouragement, with a sense of community and understanding
  • some examples of charities and support organisations are: Mind, Age UK, Headway and Macmillan Cancer Support
