  • Adult Visitors
    • Invitees - invited to enter
    • Licensees - permission to be on land for particular period
    • Contractual permission - e.g. entry tickets for an event
    • Statutory right of entry - e.g. meter readers

  • Occupiers liability to children
    Owed common duty and additional special duty:
    • Occupier 'must be prepared for children to be less careful than adults as a result, the premises must reasonably safe for a child that age'.

  • Occupiers liability to people carrying out trade/ skilled visitors

    Occupiers owe tradesmen the common duty of care
    However they do not owe a duty to warn skilled visitors of risks associated with their profession
