  • 1532= England made a fragile alliance with France, little impact!
  • 1533 = Break with Rome, horrified Catholic following Francis I's want for papal marriage.
  • 1536 = renewed French and empirical fighting.
  • 1538 = treaty of nice between Francis and Charles, still neither leader trusted each other.
  • Charles reignited conflict with France, supported by English invasions of France in 1544. Charles V wanted peace, made separate peace with Francis I.
  • PEACE AGREED WITH FRANCE IN 1546! Henry had debased the coinage, used up his inheritance and lacked to gain anything overall!
