• Homeostasis controls:

  • Blood glucose concentration
  • Body temperature
  • Water levels
• Effector cells 


  Muscles or glands in the body that produce a response to restore optimum conditions/levels in the body
• Receptor cells 


  Specialised cells that detect a stimulus
• Coordination centres


  Recieve and process information from receptors

  Examples: brain, spinal cord, pancreas
