  • Humerus
    Long bone in the upper arm. Located between the elbow joint and the shoulder.
  • Cranium
    Provides protection to the brain - from any type of injury
  • Spine
    Known as the backbone or vertebral column
  • Ulna
    This bone gives structure to the forearm. Located on the opposite side of the forearm from the thumb
  • Facial Bones
    Gives shape to and structure of the face; including holding the eyes in place, and passage of the nostrils
  • Metacarpals
    The carpal bones are eight small bones that make up the wrist (or carpals)
  • Radius
    A long bone of the forearm that works with the adjacent ulna to coordinate arm movement and rotation
  • Clavicle
    Supports the shoulder; is also known as the collarbone
  • Scapula
    Triangular bone that is located posteriorly (on the back half of the body). Plays an important role in shoulder motion
  • Metatarsals
    Involved in supporting the weight of the body; bones located between the tarsals and the toe bones or phalanges of each foot.
  • Fibula
    The slender long bone that is attached next to and a little below the tibia (shinbone)
  • Femur
    The strongest and longest bone in the body, occupying the space of the lower limb, between the hip and knee joints. Important bone in the leg and is critical to how the body moves at the hip.
  • Coxal
    The hip bone
  • Phalanges
    Small bones composed of the fingers and toes divided into 3 categories; proximal, middle, and distal.
  • Carpals
    Bones in the hand, between the wrist and fingers.
  • Ribs
    To protect the organs of the thoracic cavity. Other functions include the ability to assist in respiration as well as to provide support for the body's thoracic cavity
  • Sternum
    Long flat bone located in the central part of the chest
  • Tibia
    Known as your shin bone. It's the second longest bone in your body, and its an important part of your ability to stand and move.
  • Coccyx
    Known as the tailbone; helps support the weight while you sit
  • Calcaneus
    Known as the heel bone, the largest bone in the foot located at the back of the foot.
  • Patella
    Known as the kneecap
  • Sacrum
    Known as the pelvic bone
  • Tarsals
    Help with shock absorbance by supporting the arches of the feet.
