    After his time in nature, Victor thinks he is free. Blind comment. He has a blinkered way at looking at the situation. He is imprisoned by his own hubris and lack of responsibility towards the monster. Eg making him 8 feet tall.
  • What is the moon?
    The moon is a gothic symbol with a female identity
  • ‘moon gazed on my midnight labours’

    the colour of the moon reflected in the monster’s eyes. Product of the environment he is created in
  • ‘by the dim yellow light of the moon’
    interconnection between monster and moon
  • ‘the only object that I could distinguish was the bright moon, and I fixed my eyes on it with pleasure’
    The monster’s identity is synonymous with the moon. In his solitary state it is his salvation + offers him comfort
