    pertains to the collection of all the possible outcomes.

    refers to a set of one or more outcomes that satisfy a given condition.
  • Theoretical probability
    the value is derived from a mathematical formula.
  • Experimental probability
    the value is derived from a simulation or an actual performance of the experiment for a certain number of trials.
