  • Obando Festival is held in honor of Sta. Clara. San Pascual de Baylon, and La Virgen del Salambao. It is said that this festival has evolved from a pagan fertility ritual called the Kasilonawan
  • Dinagyang Festival formerly known as the "Iloilo Ati-Atihan" started in 1976 when in a replica of the Santo Nino was brought to Iloilo. As a sign of respect and gratitude, the Iloilo people welcomed the image with a song and dance

  • The Masskara Festival in Bacolod City, Negros is held every fourth Sunday of October. It was conceived in the 1980's as a way for the people of Negros to escape the problems plaguing the sugarcane industry. It is coined by the late cultural artist, Ely Santiago. It is a portmanteau of two words : Mass meaning "Crowd" and Kara which means "Face"
