shows the equality of their relationship at the beginning of the play

asking the witches to replace her milk with poison - she wants to have no gender so she can commit the act herself - goes against societys view at the time of woman being too fragile to commit such acts - she goes against this

the snake links to the devil - adam and eve - she is telling Macbeth to be deceptive

she’s undermining her husbands manliness - manipulating him

Violent Imagery- shows her lack of maternal instinct and commitment to power

her hands are covered in blood , which keeps the focus on the theme of guilt - white is seen as pure

Lady Macbeth criticises Macbeth for feeling regret - contrast to her at the end of the play
