  • truthfulness virtue -> the mean is to not exagerrate or underrate yourself, being a plain dealer, boasting about what you do is false and being self deprecatory is underselling yourself which is also false!!
• lying isnt just telling the truth or telling a lie, its your social interaction with society

  • disposition of truthfulness makes you likely to tell the truth
  • virtues form a synergy
  • a life practising indivudal virtues makes you a virtuous character
  • truthfulness is a synergy
• if you have a truthful character then you will be justified in lying occasionally eg mad axeman
