    • A native Australian fruit that contains the highest levels of vitamin C of any fruit in the world. Aboriginal people consumed the plum to boost their body’s nutrient level which reduced their chance of disease (e.g. scurvy). 
    • Modern application: the antioxidant properties of Kakadu plums are being used in cosmetic treatments to restore skin elasticity. They are also incorporated in contemporary natural medicines used to help boost Vitamin C levels.
