  • R.A. No. 10912 will be implemented upon the effectivity of General Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) and the Individual Operational Guidelines of each profession

  • Objectives of CPD

  • Types of CPD Programs
    • Formal Learning (Offline and online training programs, Learning-focused seminars and conferences, Workshops and events, Lectures)
    • Informal Learning (Studying publications written by industry experts, Perusing relevant case studies and articles, Listening to industry-specific podcasts and following industry-specific news, Studying and revising for professional exams)
  • Responsibilities of CPD Council
    • Organize CPD Council for each of the regulated professions and promulgate guidelines for their operation
    • Review existing and new CPD Programs for all the regulated professions
    • Formulate, issue and promulgate guidelines and procedures for the implementation of the CPD Programs
    • Coordinate with academe, concerned government agencies and other stakeholders in the implementation of the CPD Programs and other measures
    • Coordinate with concerned government agencies in the development of mechanisms and guidelines, in the grant and transfer of credit units earned from all learning processes and activities
  • CPD Council
    Composed of chairperson and two (2) members
  • Functions of CPD Council Chairperson
    • Preside the meetings
    • Direct or supervise the activities
    • Submit the Council's annual report to the Planning and Monitoring Division not later than January 15
    • Sign the Certificate of Accreditation, Certificate of Accreditation of Program, and Certificate of Credit Units
  • A natural or juridical person may apply as CPD Provider
  • Types of Local CPD Providers
    • Individual/ Sole Proprietor
    • Firm/ Partnership/ Corporation
    • Government Institutions/ Agencies
  • Requirements for Individual/ Sole Proprietor CPD Provider
    • A registered and licensed professional of good standing
    • Non-conviction of a crime involving moral turpitude
    • Registered entity with the Department of Trade and Industry and the Bureau of Internal Revenue
    • As may be required by the CPD Council
  • Requirements for Firm/ Partnership/ Corporation CPD Provider
    • A duly registered partnership, corporation, institution or organization
    • The Articles of Incorporation/ Partnership includes as one of its purposes the training and development of professionals
    • Duly registered with the Bureau of Internal Revenue and the Securities and Exchange Commission and/or other pertinent government bodies
    • As may be required by the CPD Council
  • Requirements for Government Institutions/ Agencies CPD Provider
    • Any government institution / agency with mandate or program on CPD for professionals
    • As may be required by the CPD Council
  • Requirements for Foreign CPD Provider
    • A duly registered entity, firm or association in the country / state of the applicant which intends to provide CPD program
    • Articles of Incorporation/Partnership/Creation or its equivalent, which includes as one of its purposes, the training and development of professionals
    • Accredited CPD Provider of the country of origin
    • Duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy/Consulate/Legation in the country/state of the applicant and accompanied by an official English translation
    • As may be required by the CPD Council
  • Requirements for Individual/ Sole Proprietor CPD Provider Application
    • Résumé must include: relevant Educational background, current employment, profession, valid Professional Identification Card, principal area of professional work and no. of years in the practice of the regulated profession
    • Company Profile must include Mission, Vision, Core Values and if any, a list of previous training activities conducted
    • List and photographs of training equipment and facilities
    • Instructional Design (one)
    • Annual plan of proposed CPD Activities
    • DTI Certificate of Registration (authenticated copy)
    • NBI Clearance (original)
    • BIR Certificate of Registration (authenticated copy)
    • Notarized Affidavit of Undertaking
  • Requirements for Firm / Partnership / Corporation CPD Provider Application
    • Company Profile must Include Mission, Vision, Core Values and if any, a list of previous training activities conducted
    • List of Officers with valid Professional ID Card (if applicable)
    • List and photographs of training equipment and facilities
    • Instructional Design (one)
    • Annual plan of proposed CPD Activities
    • Appointment paper from the managing partner or Board Resolution of a Corporation authorizing a partner or officer to manage the CPD activities
    • SEC Certificate of Registration and Articles of Incorporation or Partnership and their respective By-laws (authenticated copy)
    • BIR Certificate of Registration (authenticated copy)
    • Notarized Affidavit of Undertaking
  • Requirements for Government Institution/Agency CPD Provider Application
    • Agency Profile must include Name of Head of Agency and the Head of Department in charge of continuing education/training
    • Copy of charter or Republic Act establishing the agency
    • List and photographs of training equipment and facilities
    • Instructional Design (one)
    • Annual plan of proposed CPD Activities
    • Office Order from the head of Agency appointing its officer to manage the CPD Activities
    • Notarized Affidavit of Undertaking
  • The Continuing Professional Development (CPD) forms can be downloaded from PRC website at www.prc.gov.ph or available at Standards and Inspection Division office
  • What is the regulatory period for the filing of application for accreditation of CPD program/s?
    45 days prior to the conduct of the program
