  • Claim of Fact
    It is not necessarily a fact.

    It only asserts a stand regarding a debatable topic.

    It debates whether something is true or false.

    It answers the questions- Did / Does / Will it happen?, Does it exist?, Is it true or false?

    Supported by the following- Statistics, Other Scientific Information, Testimonies, and Observations
  • Claim of Value
    It argues whether something is good or bad.

    It is based on judgment and evaluation from a moral standpoint.

    It is not merely a statement of subjective judgment.

    It answers the questions- Is something better or worse in comparison?, Is something the best or superior?, Is something good or bad?
  • Claim of Policy
    It asserts the implementation of a certain policy.

    It is driven by the need to present a solution to problems.

    It states solutions and plans that are procedural and organized.

    It answers the questions- What should be done?, What should not be done?, What should be done to solve it?
