• The 3 regions of visayas consists of Western, Central, and Eastern Visayas
• Central visayas consists of Cebu, Bohol, and Siquijor
• Davao, Leyte, and Samar is located in Eastern visayas.
• Negros is divided into Negros Oriental and Negros Occidental.
• Bacolod is known as the city of Smiles, it belongs to Western Visayas
• Bacolodnons are known as sweet and lively people.
• The Ruins is a majestic mansion built in the 1970s by a sugar baron named Don Lacson for his Portugese wife, Cora.
• The Ruins can be found in Bacolod, Western Visayas
• The MassKara Festival focuses on celebration of people, to mark milestones and conquering hardships from economic crisis and tragedy.
• The two tragedies Bacolodnons experienced was the collapse of sugar prices and sinking of navigation ship.
• Chicken Inasal is a food from Bacolod that is marinated chicken grilled over hot coals.
• The people of Iloilo are known as Ilonggos and are known for their charm and sweetness coming from the musical notation of their dialect, Hiligaynon.
• Garin Farm is an agricultural, recreational, and spiritual site. Known for the "Stairway to Heaven".
• The Garin Farm is located in Iloilo, Western Visayas
• Dinagyan is a Hiligaynon word taken from its dagyan meaning "merrymaking".
• The Dinagyang Festival in Iloilo celebrates the feast of Infatn jesus and the pact between Datus and the locals.
• Batchoy contains pancit soup ingredients made of pork meat, crushed pork crackles, chicken stock, beef loin, and round noodles.
• Cebuanos are highly Christianized people.
• Cebu City was a gateway for Catholicism
• Magellan's cross was planted by Portugese and Spanish exploreres headed by Ferdinand Magellan and marks birth of Christianity in the land.
• Sinulog Festival is celebrated to worship, praise, and give gratitude to Sto. Nino to commemorate when Filipinos embraced Christianity
• Puso is made of woven coconut leaves. It is also called hanging rice.
• Boholanos are also called Bol-anons.
• Due to inadequate precipitation during the dry season, the grass in Chocolate Hills turns chocolate brown.
• The Sandugo Festival commemorates the historic blood compact or "sandugo" between Datu Sikatuna and Miguel Lopez de Legazpi.
• Kalamay is from Bohol made of coconut milk, brown sugar, and ground glutinous rice.
