  • Collage – describes both the technique and the resulting work of art in which pieces of paper, photographs, fabric are arranged and stuck down onto a supporting surface
    form of visual arts in which visual elements are combined to create a new image that conveys a message or idea (combining different pictures)

  • Decollage – in art, is the opposite of collage; instead of an image being built up of all or parts of existing images, it is created by ripping and tearing away or otherwise removing, pieces of an original image

  • Abaca - belongs to banana family. Its fiber has a natural luster with colors ranging from pure white to ivory dark brown. Eastern Visayas is the wildest abaca supplier.

  • Bakbak – is the outermost covering or leaf sheath of abaca stalk. It is a flat thick durable sheath as twine or braided. The strong brown fiber is used to make furniture. Products: Mat, Bangkuay bin, Boxes - highly in demand in the furniture industry - baskets, bags, chairs in furniture (similar in rattan)
  • Bamboo – is a raw material used in creating many products. It is used in construction, textile, musical instruments, weapons, and many more - bahay, bahay kubo, constructions, musical instruments (xylophone, guitar, ukelele), bilao
  • Rattan – belongs to the palm family. There are different types of rattan palms, such as high or low climbers, single stemmed or clustered rattan species - bags, matitibay, baskets for picnic, chairs
