Carbon Cycle

• Carbon on earth needs to used over and over again.
• The carbon cycle has six different stages:

  1. Respiration.
  2. Trapped during photosynthesis, to convert into glucose and starch.
  3. Get stored in living organisms as Organic compound's .
  4. Animals get carbon by eating plants or other animals - Decomposers from dead remains.
  5. Carbon is stored in fossil fuels.
  6. Burned fossil fuels return to atmposhere
• Human activities have led to an increase in the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Because of the;

  1. Need for energy
  2. Burning of fossil fuels
• High levels of carbon dioxide contribute to Global warming
• Global warming: Rise in the average temperature on earth.
• Ways humans have contributed to increasing CO2 levels:

  1.Power stations burn coal

  2.No electricity burns wood

  3.Petrol in cars

  4.factories release carbon dioxide
