• Hormones are chemical messangers that travel through the blood.
• The Endocrine System: Secretes hormones from glands.
• Pituitary glands aka The Master gland. Is attached to the brain. (Look at photo)

  
• Thyroid Gland in throat, Regulates metabolism and important for growth and development.

  
• The Pituitary Gland produces hormones that act on glands, telling them to release hormones.

  
• If the Pituitary Gland detects low levels of Thryoxine(made by Thryoid gland) it stimulates (TSH) Thyroid Stimulating Hormones

  
• • Electrical Impulses are faster with short lasting effects and they one specfic area.
  • Hormones are slower with long lasting effects and move around the body.
• - Thyroid Gland produces Thyroxine.

  - Adrenal Gland produces Adrenaline.

  - Ovaries Produces Oestrogen

  - Testes produces testosterone

  - Pancreas produces insulin.
