  • Somatic Nervous System: conducts impulses form the brain and spinal cord to skeletal
  • Automatic Nervous system: conducts impulses from the brain and spinal cord to smooth muscles

• Classification of Nervous cells

  • Astrocytes are star-shaped cells that wrap around nerve cells to form a supporting network in the brain and spinal cord.
  • Olidodendroglia- produce fatty myeline sheath on the neurons
  • Microglia- s,all cells that engulf and destroy microbes and cellular debris
