  • Acts 2:42-47: 'All who believed were together and had all things in common; they would sell their property and possessions and divide them among all according to each one's need. Every day they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple area and to breaking bread in their homes. They ate their meals with exultation and sincerity of heart, praising Hod and enjoying favor with all the people. And every day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.'

  • The Church
    • We are all one in Christ through the action of the HOLY SPIRIT
    • Through one Baptism, we form only one BODY OF CHRIST who is our HEAD
    • As the Church we believe and profess one faith in God
    • We worship and we celebrate the sacraments as one people of God
    • God the Father has given the Spirit of our Risen Lord Jesus to the Church and makes it HOLY
    • We are the dwelling place of the Holy spirit
    • All of us are called to become SAINTS
    • Church is CATHOLIC, which means UNIVERSAL
    • Church is APOSTOLIC, this means the Church is built upon the FIRST APOSTLES
    • Jesus Christ Himself wants that we receive our faith in God through His Apostles
    • We believe that the Holy Spirit empowered the apostles to pass on Christ's teachings to those who would succeed them in the Church
    • BISHOPS- successors of the apostles
    • POPE- BISHOP OF ROME, The successor of Peter, leader of the Church
    • The pope ,together with all bishops and assisted by priests, continues to teach us about our CHRISTIAN FAITH
  • Revelation 7:9-12: 'They cried out in a loud voice, " Salvation comes from our God, whi is seated on the throne, and from the Lamb." All the angels stood around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They prostrated themselves before the throne, worshipped God and exclaimed, " Amen. Blessing and glory , wisdom and thanksgiving, honor, power, and might be to our God forever and ever, Amen"'
  • Communion of Saints
    The Body of Christ, members of the Church who joined Jesus Christ, the Holy One and the Head of the Church
  • Communion of Saints
    • In Christ, all believers form the communion of saints
    • Among the believers are those who are already in heaven, they already stand before the throne of Jesus, wearing the white robes of holiness, they have been cleansed in the blood of Jesus, the Lamb of God
    • We are one with them in their victory
    • There are those who have died but have not yet been completely cleansed of their sins, they are in the purgatory
    • We continually ask God to forgive all their sins and to welcome them finally to our heavenly home
    • We are the ones who are still journeying on Earth
    • The saints in heaven and those in purgatory are one with us, they keep praying for us that we may remain strong and not give up
  • Matthew 18:21-34: 'Then Peter approaching asked Jesus, "Lord , if my brother sins against me, how often must I Forgive him? As many as seven times?" Jesus answered, " I say to you, NOT SEVEN TIMES but SEVENTY-SEVEN times . That is why the kingdom of heaven may be likened to a king who decided to settle accounts with his servants. When he began the accounting, a debtor was brought befor him who owned him a huge amount. Since he had no way of paying it back, his master ordered him to be sold, aling with his wife, his children , and all his property, in payment of the debt. At that, the servant fell doen, did him homageand said, 'Be patient with me and I will pay bavk in full '. Moved with compassion ,the master of that servant let him go and forgave him the loan. When that servant had left, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a much smaller amount. He seized him and started to choke him, demanding 'Pay back what you owe' Falling to his knees hisfellow servant begged him, 'Be patient with me and I will pay you back' But he refused. Instead, he had him put in prison until he paid back the debt. Now when his fellow servants saw what happened, they were deepky disturbed and went to their master and reported the whole affair. His master summoned him and said to him 'You wicked servant! I forgave you your entire debt becaise you begged me to. Should you not have had pity on your fellow servant, as I had pity on you?' Then in anger his masterhanded him over to the torturers until he should pay back the whole debt.'
  • Forgiveness of Sins
    • We believe that God forgives our sins
    • He is a merciful and loving father who waits for our return each time we go our way instead of following Him
    • He is ready to forgive us if we are truly sorry for our sins
    • His love for us will never end
    • God will measure our love for Him through the love we show to one another
    • He forgives and He expects us to forgive one another
    • He is caring and merciful and He expects us to be caring and merciful with one another
    • We believe that God will judge us at the end of time, He is a JUST JUDGE because He can see what is in our hearts, He could see if our hearts are full of love or unforgiveness
    • God wants all of us to be with Him forever, He wants to welcome us into His kingdom where there is no room for unforgiveness but only love
  • Matthew 6:14-15: 'Jesus once said " For if you forgive others their traspasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others, beuther will your Father forgive your trespasses"'
