ELECTRONICS MULTITESTER

Cards (11)

  • Multitester
Also known as a VOM (volt-ohm meter or voltmeter, ohmmeter, milliameter)
  • Multitester
    • An electronic measuring instrument that combines several measurement functions in one unit
    • Generally made of two types: analog and digital
  • Pointer is a needle-shaped rod that move over the scale of a meter. It is mechanically connected to the moving coil. It indicates the measured values on the multimeter
  • Scale is a series of making used for reading the value of quantity. It can have different types of scale for volatge and a current readings.
  • Adjustment Screw is makes it possible to adjust the pointer to the zero position of the scale
  • Zero Ohm Adjusting Knob is used to zero the pointer before measuring the resistance
  • Range Selector Knob (Selector Switch) makes it possible to select different functions and range of the meter
  • Test Probe - positive(red) negative(black) is used to connect the circuit to the electrical components being tested
  • The more voltage(electrical pressure) you apply to the capacitor, the more charge is stored in the capacitor
  • A capacitor is used to store electric charge
  • The higher the capacitance of the capacitor, the more charge may be stored in by a given voltage.
