  • Habitat
The environments where a species lives
  • Habitats provide the environments where species live
  • MRS C GREN
  • ECOLOGY
ecosystem - is a community of interacting organisms and their enviroment
  • ORGANISM - a living thing
  • HABITATS - The physical environment in which an organism lives and the factors that influence its distribution
  • POPULATION - The total number of individuals of the SAME species in a particular area at a given time.
  • COMMUNITY - When all organisms are living in a specific place.
  • ADAPTATIONS - an organism's certain features, behaviours, characteristics that allow them to live successfully in its habitat.
  • 3 MAIN ADAPTATIONS
    • Structural
    • behavioural
    • physiological
  • Purpose of Respiration - to produce energy from food/glucose.
equation - Glucose + Oxygen -> Carbon dioxide + energy
  • chlorophyll - natural compound in green plants which gives them their colour
  • Nucleus - contains genetic material (DNA)
  • Cell membrane - controls what enters or leaves the cell
  • Germination is when the embryo/root of the young plant in the seed begins to grow.
  • The XYLEM carries water from the roots upwards to the leaves.
  •  The PHLOEM carries sugar from leaves to all the cells in the plant.

  • "you'll be farting all day then" - Mr Scoones 3/05/2024
  • Respiration takes place in the organelle mitochondria.
  • Red blood has O2
    Blue Blood has cO2
  • Chlorophyll is the reason on why plants are green.
  • Carbon Dioxide enters through the plant by the stomata
