  • duodenum- 1st section of small intestines
  • Escherichia coli- uti, produces vitamin K and B, generates gases methane and hydrogen sulfide
  • ulcer- erosion of the surface of the alimentary canal, excessive stomach acid

  • heartburn- acid from the stomach backs up into the esophagus
  • gastroesophageal reflux disease- occurs when stomach acid repeatedly flows back into the tube connecting ur mouth and stomach, also known as GERD

  • constipation- difficult to empty the large intestine, too much water is reabsorbed
  • diarrhea- when things move quicky and not much water is absorbed
  • appendicitis- inflammation of the appendix due to infection, blocked and swells in response
  • gallstones- an acuumulation of hardened cholesterol and/or calcium deposits in the gallbladder
  • jejunum and ileum- part of small intestine as to where absorption of water and nutrients occur
  • parts of small intestine- duodenum, jejunum and ileum
