    Number of employees each manager is responsible for managing.
  • How many types for Span of control is out there?
    1- Narrow Span
    2- Wide Span
  • What does Narrow span mean?
    - For newly hired employees

    - It means the manager has to manage a few employees (Small/narrow triangle).
  • What does Wide span mean?
    - For highly trained employees

    -It means the manager can manage a lot of employees (Big/wide triangle).

  • What is an operational chart?
    Takes a single step in the process chart and shows the movement of both hands to reduce transportation.

    Ex: How hands should be with food tray
