  belief in one god who is experienced in 3 different forms/aspects (father, son, holy spirit) who are all eternal and equal
• what the trinity shows

  • god the father helps christians understand his power, creativity and care for the world
  • god the son helps understand god's love, and brought salvation from sin so christians can have an eternal life in heaven with god
  • god the holy spirit helps understand god's presence in the world. also helps god communicate with christians
• showing the trinity in belief/worship

  • recite nicene creed in every service of eucharist
  • making the sign of the cross when entering church (acknowledges belief in jesus)
  • begin and end sermons in the name of the trinity
  • perform baptism and marriage in the name of the trinity

  father, son and holy spirit arent one

  they are 3 separate beings united in will and purpose as one god

  jehovah is the only true god

  jesus was created by god, and is god's son

  holy spirit is god's power applied to the world, not a person

  jesus is a person whos teachings and life gave him moral authority, not a divinity
