  this is because:

  • st paul says that wives should not speak or teach in church
  • genesis 2 - adam created first, it was eve who was led astray by satan
• catholics

  • against gender prejudice and discrimination
  • equal roles in life and society because adam and eve were created at same time
  • women can study and teach
  • BUT only men can be priests because the apostles were men
• christian opposition to gender prejudice and discrimination

  • movement for the ordination of women (MOW)
  • women's ordination worldwide (WOW)

  both fight to allow women to become priests
• humanists/athiests

  • equal rights
  • against sexism
  • wrong to discriminate
