mitosis and meiosis

• mitosis :

  
• meiosis (only in sperm and egg cell) :

  
• interphase = cell copies its DNA to prepare for mitosis
• prophase = separates the duplicated genetic material carried in the nucleus of a parent cell into two identical daughter cells
• metaphase = the chromosomes line up in the middle of the cell
• anaphase = The sister chromatids separate and are pulled to opposite poles of the cell. 
• telophase = process which separates the two genetic information into 2 daughter cells
• cytokenesis = cell division, which divides the cytoplasm of a parental cell into two daughter cells.
