  • Co-ordinating
    Coordinating conjunctions are words that join grammatically equal elements in a sentence, such as words, phrases, or clauses. The seven coordinating conjunctions are for, and, nor, but, or, yet, and so, which can be remembered using the acronym FANBOYS.
  • Subordinating conjunction
    A subordinating conjunction is a word that is used to connect a subordinate clause to an independent clause. Examples of subordinating conjunctions are: as, because, and after.
